Survey Update

My survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2CRJPDX

Several people have responded to my survey, and the results have been interesting. The responses tend to be upholding the rational choice theory, since they indicate that people commit crimes if doing so is in their best interest.

  1. I think Mitch's survey will be very helpful in trying to see what people think the motives for crimes are.

I think to analyze it you should compare and contrast the results of whether or not people consider the risks and benefits of committing a crime to is a person more likely to commit a crime if there is a lower risk of getting caught?

You could also possibly compare previous research to motives behind crimes compared to what your survey results show.

Lastly, maybe look up recent crimes and compare the stories of those to some of the answers and motives on your survey.
